Adaptive Aquatics

Adaptive Aquatics has an extraordinary place in my heart because I have a very personal relationship with Autism in our family. Our son, Christian speaks with an ACC device and is Autistic. He can swim. He has been through Survival Swim and it has helped take a huge weight off of our shoulders if he were to elope.  I absolutely want to make sure that EVERYONE can survive an aquatic accident and swim.  It is very important to me to meet every child where he or she is and customize each program to their ability, personality, and body type. Our program uses techniques developed by OT's, PT's, and BCBA's .

 Students that are on the autism spectrum, have developmental delays, cerebral palsy, or down syndrome can greatly benefit from swim lessons. Many not only gain survival skills, but can also have developmental and rehabilitative benefits as well.
